Registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations are offered the opportunity to fundraise in front of participating Harris Teeter locations*.
Non-profit organizations must:
1. Submit fundraising event requests at least four weeks but no more than six months in advance of event date.
To submit a request:
- Sign up or log in to www.harristeeter.com
- Visit the Community section
- Click the Fundraising Events link
- Click the Request Fundraising Event link
2. Follow all Harris Teeter rules of customer service during scheduled event and respect requests made by the Harris Teeter manager-on-duty.
3. Submit a Certificate of Insurance prior to the approved fundraising event date.
Guidelines:
1. Harris Teeter will review requests in the order that they are received.
2. The number of fundraising events at any given store is limited to two days per month. Only available stores will appear as an option to choose from in the Store Locator.
3. A non-profit organization can host only two events per year at any given store.
4. Harris Teeter reserves the right to decline a fundraising event request if activities conflict with day-to-day store operations or if the store has received complaints about the non-profit organization placing the request.
5. Harris Teeter will not allow non-profit organizations to fundraise in front of stores during donation card campaigns or food drives hosted by Company. These months include but are not limited to:
- March
- May
- Mid-August through mid-September
- November
- December

*Note: You must be a registered 501 (c)(3) organization to apply. Fundraising events are not allowed in our Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, VA area, Maryland, Delaware, and DC markets or at our Distribution Centers. Only Together in Education linking events are allowed in our Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, VA area, Maryland, Delaware, and DC markets. It is important to remember that a wide variety of organizations request to solicit outside of our stores. To ensure that we help as many organizations as possible, each non-profit agency is allowed to solicit two times a year, per store. Harris Teeter also reserves the right to cancel an organization's fundraising events should it receive customer complaints.
